Yesterday, Wednesday, the Saudi Pro League Competitions Committee officially announced the postponement of Al-Ittihad vs. Al-Shabaab and Al-Wehda vs. Al-Fateh matches in the ninth round of the Saudi League Roshan tournament.
According to a Saudi Pro League report, the committee made this decision based on the performance of Al Ittihad and Al Wehda clubs in exchange for the participation of their players from their country’s national team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The competition set a new date for these two confrontations, as it was decided to hold an Al-Shabab vs. Al-Ittihad match next on January 9th, and an Al-Wehda vs. Al-Fateh match on the 26th of the same month, instead of the two previously announced dates.
Saudi League Roshan will resume today, Thursday, and Al Shabab was scheduled to face Al Ittihad Jeddah in Riyadh and Al Wahda were to face Al Fateh in Mecca Al Mukarrama.
For their part, the Al Ittihad club held a regular training session at the club’s stadium yesterday afternoon under the guidance of team coach Nuno Santo.
