South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol took the oath of office at his inauguration ceremony at the National Assembly Square in Seoul today.
South Korean news agency Yonhap reported that during the ceremony, the Korean president addressed various issues facing South Korea and the world, including epidemics, the restructuring of global supply chains, and declining growth and rising unemployment.
She added that 41,000 people attended the opening ceremony, including foreign and local guests, representatives of parliament and government, representatives of community groups and many invited citizens.
Yoon Seok Yeol, 61, reportedly ran for president and managed to defeat his rival from the ruling party and win the presidency of South Korea for a five-year term.
