Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev stressed the need to leave Western colonial practices in the past and focus on building a new multipolar world.
“The issue of combating neo-colonialism is not just a topical issue, but rather one of the most acute and, perhaps, one of the biggest problems of modern world politics,” Medvedev said during the Forum of Supporters of Combating Modern Practices of Neo-Colonialism.
He continued: “Obviously, malicious and harmful colonial practices must be left behind and finally give way to a new multipolar world order, and, working for the security and well-being of our peoples, we must strive to make our world more just, and, to Unfortunately, at this stage We cannot consider it a just world.”
According to him, the mission of the Forum is to “protect the sacred right of the individual to determine his own path of development in each country and independently, taking into account recognized international laws and on the basis of the UN Charter.”
