This time, the Russian-American conflict over the war in Ukraine has moved into space.
Russia has threatened to attack American satellites amid the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis.
The Russian Foreign Ministry has indicated that these satellites could become legitimate targets if they are used in Ukrainian-Russian battles, Russia Today reported on Thursday.

The threats came after US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stressed in a telephone conversation with his Russian counterpart Sergei Shoigu two days ago the importance of maintaining lines of communication in light of the ongoing war in Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that several warnings were previously issued about the possibility of the conflict spreading into space. Earlier this month, the commander of the British armed forces, Admiral Tony Radakin, warned that Russia could start a war in space against the West. He believed that Russian forces, with their vast capabilities in the field of space, could resort to other avenues far from traditional ground combat, whether under water or in the sky.
It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the Russian military operation on the territory of Ukraine on February 24, Washington has sided with Kyiv and supported it with weapons, missiles and protective equipment.
At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly warned about the threat to the security of its territory through US military assistance, and also warned about the danger of providing Ukrainian forces with advanced weapons and long-range missiles.
She also emphasized more than once that the West, led by the United States, has become a party to the conflict.
