Russian intelligence has confirmed that it has arrested 8 suspects in the explosion on the Crimean bridge. The Interfax news agency, citing the Russian security agency, reported that 5 Russians and 3 citizens of Ukraine and Armenia were detained in connection with the explosion on the Crimean bridge.
On Saturday, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the attack on the bridge “terrorist” because it damaged the bridge connecting Russia with Crimea, which Moscow annexed in 2014.
This bridge is of symbolic and strategic importance as it is used to transport Russian cargo to southern Ukraine, where Kyiv forces are launching a counterattack.
The attack on the bridge came after a series of military setbacks suffered by Moscow in the northeast, east and south of Ukraine.
