The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, confirmed that the quadripartite summit he attended in the Egyptian city of El Alamein was a fraternal consultative meeting.
On his official Twitter account, he said:
I was pleased with the participation of my fellow leaders in the fraternal consultative meeting in El Alamein. The UAE, in effective coordination with its brothers, promotes joint action by the Arabs and supports sincere efforts to achieve stability, development and prosperity in the region.
The Egyptian Presidency announced earlier a quadripartite summit in the northern city of El Alamein, which was attended by President Sisi, the King of Jordan, the President of the United Arab Emirates and the King of Bahrain, during which the leaders discussed security efforts in the region.
Ambassador Bassam Radi said that President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi received King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, King Abdullah II of Jordan and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the Emirates, at the presidential palace in the new city of El Alamein today, Tuesday.
Joint Arab Cooperation
He added that brotherly relations and various aspects of joint cooperation were discussed at the closed meeting in Al Alamein, as the leaders reaffirmed their support for efforts and initiatives aimed at strengthening security, peace, stability and joint cooperation at various levels.
He stated that the leaders agreed that joint cooperation is built on the basis of trust and mutual respect to realize the aspirations of all the peoples of the region for progress, creation and development. During the fraternal meeting, they considered a number of regional and international issues and events and exchanged views and opinions by them.
Encountering Problems
It is noteworthy that the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the day before yesterday, on Sunday, discussed with the President of the UAE international issues, regional security and the current situation in the Arab region.
During the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab action and Arab unity in addressing the challenges faced by the Arab region, in order to unite all efforts aimed at achieving lasting solutions to crises in the countries of the region, which contribute to the settlement of the basis of security and stability in them and achieve stability and peace for their peoples.
On Monday, Sisi also discussed with the four leaders, in addition to the Prime Minister of Iraq, the strengthening of various aspects of bilateral relations and the best use of all available areas to enhance cooperation between them.
