As part of the project of the Center for Humanitarian Aid and Assistance of King Salman “Masam” to clear Yemeni lands from mines in the first week of July 2022 AD. managed to remove 838 mines laid by the Houthi militia in various regions of Yemen, including 6 anti-personnel mines, 349 anti-tank mines and 483 unexploded ordnance.
The Masamah team was able to clear one unexploded ordnance in the Kataba area in Al Dali governorate, 17 anti-tank mines and 4 unexploded ordnance were cleared in the Hays area in Al Hudaydah governorate, and 8 anti-tank mines were cleared in Marib governorate. Al Wadi and two anti-tank mines in Al Wadi, Harib area, 300 anti-tank mines and 450 UXO in Marib area, 3 anti-tank mines and 1 UXO were removed in Ain area and 5 anti-tank mines. Tank mines have been cleared in the Usailan region.
The Masam team in Taiz governorate managed to clear 4 anti-tank mines in the Al-Waziah area, 3 anti-personnel mines, 3 anti-tank mines and 26 unexploded ordnance in the Mocha area, and 3 anti-personnel mines. , 7 anti-tank mines and one unexploded ordnance in the Dabab area. Thus, the number of mines cleared since the start of the Masam project has risen to 349,721, which were randomly planted by Houthi militias throughout Yemen to demand more innocent victims, including children, women and old people.
While the Kingdom, represented within the framework of the project by the King Salman Relief Center, continues to clear Yemeni lands of mines and contribute to helping Yemeni brothers lead a decent life.
