Senegalese international striker Sadio Mane has joined Bayern Munich on a three-year deal, it was announced on Wednesday.
“The 30-year-old striker has signed a contract with the German league record holder until 30 June 2025,” the Bavarian club said in a statement, after “six amazing seasons with Liverpool,” according to the latter, during which he won the national championship and the Champions League.
Mane arrived in Munich on Tuesday to prepare for his transfer and a scheduled medical check-up, with reports indicating that the deal was worth approximately 41 million euros ($43 million).
Mane revealed that he had turned down offers from major clubs to join the German champions for the past ten seasons and said in an interview with local newspaper Bild: “The Bayern club suits him.”
