According to local reports, Senegalese star Sadio Mane arrived in Munich on Tuesday for a scheduled medical before signing a move from Liverpool to Bayern giants Bayern, German football league champions for the past ten seasons.
Kicker magazine and Bild newspaper indicated that Mane, after his plane landed at the city’s airport, went to a hospital in Munich for a medical examination under the supervision of a Bayern doctor.
The 30-year-old’s move from Liverpool to the Bavarian giant is expected to cost around 41 million euros on a three-year deal that will be officially unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday.
Mane could be a replacement for deadly Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who has repeatedly expressed his desire to leave Bayern and has been linked with a possible move to Barcelona.
Mane will be the German champions’ third signing this summer after Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberg and Moroccan right-back Nassir Mazraoui, both from Ajax Amsterdam.
