Manchester City announced today, Friday, the signing of Argentine striker Julián Alvarez from River Plate for the current summer transfer period.
And Manchester City, in a statement on their official website, indicated that his contract with Julian Alvarez was extended for 5 and a half seasons.
The club said Alvarez will be presented to the media next Sunday, accompanied by new deals, Norwegian star Erling Halland of Borussia Dortmund, Leeds United star Calvin Phillips, and Stefan Ortega Moreno of German club Armenia.
He explained that Alvarez was loaned out for half a season to end his career with his current River Plate team in the Copa Libertadores championship.
Julian Alvarez, 22, will wear the number 19 shirt at the start of his Manchester City career.
