Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker confirmed that Saudi Airlines will carry World Cup fans on 40 flights, while Fly Dubai’s share is 60 flights, Kuwait Airways is about 20 flights and Omani Airlines is 48 flights, as part of the World Cup Carriage Agreement .
Al-Baker indicated that Etihad Airways and Air Arabia could join an agreement that would see Gulf Airlines arrange express flights to Qatar during the World Cup.
Qatar Airways said Gulf Airlines plans to work together to provide daily flights to attend this year’s FIFA World Cup matches in Qatar.
She stressed that her collaboration with major airlines in the Gulf Cooperation Council is part of her ambition to make the World Cup, which is being held in the Middle East for the first time, a special event.
