The Future of Handheld PC Gaming: Lenovo Legion Go
Is this different from the way things are going to turn out? From the ASUS ROG Ally to PlayStation’s Project Q (which has poor battery life, we should add) and from the Steam Deck to the Razer Edge, several tech giants have presented their handheld solutions in recent months (and years).
A New Competitor Emerges: Lenovo Legion Go
A recent exclusive story released by Windows Central revealed that Lenovo is the latest company to join the competition. According to the write-up, Lenovo intends to launch a brand-new product, the Lenovo Legion Go, which will compete in the handheld PC gaming industry. The Legion Go will include an 8-inch screen and AMD Phoenix CPUs.
Is There Still More?
This story was first reported by Jez Corden at Windows Central, and it’s a wonderful illustration of how the handheld gaming area is heating up at a terrific velocity that’s virtually impossible to measure. Within the next few weeks, we will see Nintendo’s next handheld system launch. In the meantime, various smaller technology companies are working diligently to develop various handheld iterations.
According to Corden, the Lenovo Legion Go could have a design comparable to the Lenovo Legion Play device, which was announced but never brought to market. However, this is only a hunch. In other places, he emphasized that this powerful device would be equipped with the Windows 11 operating system and feature maximum PC gaming compatibility’ – the same as the ASUS ROG Ally.
The Power of AMD Phoenix Processors
On the technological front, the hardware of the Legion Go, specifically the AMD Phoenix processors that are rumored to be on board the device, will support low-power states while still giving cutting-edge gaming experiences. This information was gleaned through a report.
Currently, no information is available to suggest when the Legion Go might become accessible to users.
Would you like another handheld gaming device to enter the fray, or are you becoming sick of the current trend?
