The King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center Continues Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation Project in Al Hawqa District
The King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center (KSrelief) has been actively involved in providing assistance and support to those in need across various regions. One such project is the water supply and environmental sanitation project in the Al Hawqa district, located in the Al Hodeidah Governorate.
During the month of June 2023 AD, KSrelief successfully pumped out a staggering 1,890,000 liters of drinking water and an equal amount of service water. This initiative aimed to ensure that the residents of the Al Hawqa district had access to clean drinking water, a basic necessity for survival.
In addition to the water supply, KSrelief also carried out 130 shifts to remove waste from displaced persons camps. This effort not only helps in maintaining cleanliness but also promotes a safe and healthy living environment for the affected individuals.
Two camps were organized as part of the project, providing temporary shelters and necessary facilities for those in need. These camps serve as a refuge for displaced persons who have lost their homes due to various unfortunate circumstances.
Furthermore, KSrelief also undertook the task of conducting 61 sewage dryers. Proper disposal of sewage is crucial to prevent the spread of diseases and maintain a hygienic environment. These efforts are vital in promoting the health and well-being of the local community.
As part of their commitment to maintaining sanitation facilities, KSrelief also ensured the maintenance of 26 bathrooms. This ensures that the residents have access to clean and functional sanitation facilities, which is essential for their overall health and dignity.
Additionally, KSrelief carried out one water quality test operation during this period. This is an important step in ensuring the safety and potability of the water supply. Regular water quality tests help identify any potential issues and ensure that the water being provided is safe for consumption.
All these services provided by KSrelief were utilized by approximately 9,800 individuals in the Al Hawqa district. The impact of these initiatives is significant, as they directly contribute to improving the living conditions and overall well-being of the local community.
The efforts of KSrelief in the water supply and environmental sanitation project in the Al Hawqa district are commendable. Their dedication to providing essential services, such as clean drinking water, waste removal, and sanitation facilities, is crucial in addressing the immediate needs of the affected individuals.
This project not only helps in alleviating the hardships faced by the residents but also promotes a healthier and more sustainable environment. KSrelief’s continued commitment to such initiatives is a testament to their unwavering dedication to humanitarian causes.
