An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale hit central Pakistan today with no reported loss of life or property. The Geological and Meteorological Survey of Pakistan said the quake’s epicenter was at a depth of 12 kilometers near the town of Kot Adu in Punjab province. the shock was felt by the inhabitants of the central regions of the country.
