The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated in the Sixth Brussels Conference in Support of the Future of Syria and the Region, which was attended by representatives of governments, international organizations and agencies, as well as regional organizations and representatives of civil society.
The delegation of the Kingdom was headed by the head of the Kingdom’s mission to the European Union, Ambassador Saad bin Muhammad Al-Arifi.
During his speech before the conference, Ambassador Al-Arifi highlighted the generous humanitarian assistance provided by the Kingdom since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, which has exceeded $6.7 billion, to support and support the Syrian people and ensure they overcome their humanitarian ordeal.
He highlighted the vital role being played by the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center in projects to be completed during 2022 AD, with an estimated cost of $32,700,000.
The Head of the Kingdom’s Delegation to the European Union expressed his hope that the conference would achieve its goals of supporting displaced people, Syrian refugees and host countries, and that security and peace would reign in Syria and the world.
