Yesterday, on Monday, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched an e-Visa service to enter the Kingdom for holders of the Haya fan card, which Qatar required to obtain for fans of the 2022 World Cup to attend matches and use a number of services.
In a statement released early Monday morning, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the visa does not require financial fees and can be obtained through a single electronic visa platform.
Football fans who intend to attend the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar can now enter the Kingdom to perform Umrah and visit the Medina.
The Kingdom Entry Visa allows holders of the Haya fan card to enter the Kingdom ten days before the start of the World Cup and reside in the Kingdom for 60 days, and have the right to enter and leave the Kingdom several times during the validity of the visa.
The Kingdom also does not require visa holders to first enter the State of Qatar, but does require health insurance to be obtained prior to arrival in the Kingdom.
It was decided that during the World Cup period, scheduled from November 20 to December 18, a fan zone capable of accommodating more than 20,000 people per match will be created, where the matches of the tournament will be broadcast on large screens.
