Qualifying matches for the first stage of the elite collective championship in karate, kata and fighting for the first category, which was held in the hall of the Ministry of Sports in Hail, with the participation of 18 clubs and 180 players, ended today.
There were 8 clubs and 80 players in the “fighting” competition, in which Al-Nasr finished first with 33 points, followed by Al-Hilal and second with 31 points, then Al-Ahly came in third place with 27 points, followed by Al Ahly with 27 points. Hira is fourth with 25 points, Al Raed is fifth with 19 points and Al Shabab is sixth with 15 points, Al Takba is seventh with 11 points and Al Ittihad is eighth with 7 points.
There were 10 clubs and 50 players in the Kata competition, with Hajjar, Al Hilal, Al Nasr and Al Ittihad sharing first place overall with 25 points, followed by Al Watani with 13 points, Al Ahli , Hira and Al-Shabaab with 9 points, and Al-Takba and Al-Ittifaq with 5 points.
Notably, this championship is included in the Saudi Karate Federation’s championship calendar during the sporting season of the game and is part of its strategy to create karate champions of all weights and categories in kata and fighting competitions; To raise the level of play in the Kingdom and enable them to compete globally.
