The Jordanian Foreign Ministry condemned the burning of the Holy Quran by a racist mob in the Danish capital of Copenhagen on Friday.
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry confirmed that this is an unacceptable inflammatory and racist act that evokes the feelings of Muslims, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.
The ministry said in a statement that “the burning of the Holy Quran is an act of dangerous hatred and a manifestation of Islamophobia, inciting violence and insulting religions.”
She added that this should not be considered a form of free speech at all.
The Ministry emphasized the need to stop such irresponsible behavior and actions that incite violence and hatred and threaten peaceful coexistence.
The Jordanian Foreign Ministry called on the international community to resist these acts and prevent them.
