British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has argued that Russian President Vladimir Putin would not start a war in Ukraine if he were a woman, believing it would be desirable to have more women in power.
“If Putin were a woman, which he clearly isn’t, I don’t think he would have started this insane male war” to “invade” Ukraine, he told German broadcaster ZDF Tuesday night.
He added: “Starting this war by Russia is a great example of toxic masculinity.”
Overall, he called for a better education for girls around the world and for more “women in positions of power”.
On the other hand, the British Prime Minister acknowledged that “everyone wants an end to the war”, but at the moment “there is no possible agreement, Putin is not making peace proposals.”
He added: Western strategy is now focused on supporting Ukraine so that it can be placed in the best possible strategic position if peace talks with Moscow one day begin.
