On the waterfront in Jeddah, a distance of (3) kilometers round trip, the riders of Jeddah set out on the occasion of International Bicycle Day, corresponding to the third of June, sharing the world with the day and its message.
Captain Abadi Al Ghubaishi, committee leader of the Saudi Arabian Cycling Federation, explained that all cyclists in the world celebrate this day and the Kingdom enjoys the support of the Saudi Cycling Federation, led by the Vice President of the Arab Cycling Federation. Abdullah Al Watlan and for this reason, cyclists easily participate in them and cooperate with the security authorities.
Everyone was eager to help, everyone in their place, so the municipality of Jeddah organized the initiative, and the Ministry of Health made sure that safety and precautionary measures were applied, and the movement arranged for the safe exit of cyclists.
Engineer Hattan Hammuda, Director General of Public Affairs of the Jeddah Municipality, said the municipality has tapped and created pathways for the passion of cyclists and sports enthusiasts across the province to motivate everyone to play sports at the right time for them.
A volunteer cycling team from Jeddah was keen to get involved, with many of its members marching back and forth several times despite the heat.
