Iran’s Ambassador to Afghanistan Hassan Kazemi-Qomi discussed investment areas and current developments with two Taliban ministers in Kabul.
The Iranian news agency reported that the talks between the two sides focused on the current situation in Afghanistan and investments in mining, agriculture and railways, as well as regional developments.
Kazemi Qomi met with Amir Khan Taki, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mulla Abdul Latif Mansour, Minister of Energy and Water.
“The talks were positive, and the two sides stressed the expansion of bilateral relations,” IRNA quoted Khan Taqi.
Afghanistan’s Minister of Energy and Water made statements about the Taliban government’s energy and electricity programs.
“Iran is ready to invest in mining, agriculture, energy and railways projects in Afghanistan,” Kazemi-Qomi said.
The agency said the observers “Iran’s share of the Hermand river on the Afghanistan border was one of the most important axes in this meeting”.
