Saudi Arabian cycling team players managed to climb to the podium with honorable results during the 11th Arab Championships on track “Adults-Youth-Women” organized by the Arab Republic of Egypt at the international track in Cairo.
The players of the Saudi Arabia cycling team put on an honorable and outstanding performance which resulted in them winning various medals in various races during their participation in the Arab Tracks Championship organized by Egypt with 9 Arab teams.
As a result of the tournament, the Saudi Arabian women’s team won a silver medal in the Madison race on the Arabian circuit, as well as a bronze medal in the team speed and team pursuit, with participating players winning various other medals. Athlete Munira Al-Darivish won bronze in the individual pursuit, as well as bronze in the scratch race on the Arab track. Saudi athlete Munira Al Dariveesh is one of the outstanding players of the Saudi Cycling Federation, among the champions of the first women’s cycling race that took place in Riyadh, and she was selected among the members of the women’s committee to the committees of the Saudi Arabia Triathlon Federation, which takes care of the women’s sports programs of the Triathlon Federation Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabian cyclist Mashael Al-Hazmi also took bronze in three races at the Arab circuit: individual time trial, sprint race and aluminum race. And player “Mashael Al-Hazmi” managed to find prominence for her in cycling when she won first place among the champions of the first women’s race, which took place in February 2022 AD, and she was part of the Saudi Arabia women’s cycling team participating in the overall individual race (50-60 km), which won a silver medal at the third Gulf Games in Kuwait, and Al-Hazmi won first place in the category C among women in the “virtual races”. an Arab World level event in the celebration of the Saudi Cycling Federation in cooperation with the Arab Federation on the occasion of the “Arab Bicycle Day”, which took place in October 2021. It is noteworthy that the Saudi cycling team managed to win many gold, silver and bronze medals at the 11th Arab Championships on the track “Adults – Youth – Women” organized by the Arab Republic of Egypt on the international circuit in Cairo, which was attended by 120 players of men’s and female representing 9 Arab teams.
The Saudi Greens won gold medals thanks to Abdulaziz Al Durai in the elimination and kilograms, the youth team in the team pursuit and Ahmed Abu Abdullah in the individual pursuit. Silver medals were won by the senior and youth teams in the team sprint, Abdulaziz Al-Durai in the Keren race and the women’s team in Madison, as well as Reda Al-Manasif and Azzam Al-Abdul Moneim in the individual kilogram races.
Bronze medals were won by Munira Al Darivish in scratch competition, Mashael Al Khazmi in three individual time trials, sprint and aluminum, women’s team in team sprint and team pursuit, senior team in team pursuit, Azzam Al-Abdul-Moneim in the Kerry race, Abdulaziz Al-Khuwaitem in the individual kilogram and Al-Baraa Jabra in the points race.
