The Plot
The places that make us joyful are starting to take shape… The following is the official description of the film: “A single mom named Gabbie hires a tour guide, a psychic, a priest, and a historian to help exorcise their newly bought mansion; after discovering ghosts inhabit it.”
Rosario Dawson as Gabbie
Rosario Dawson, who has a long list of acting credits to her name, will play the primary role of Gabbie. When Dawson was only 14 years old, she made her acting debut in an episode of Sesame Street that aired in 1993. The gifted actress has performed in more than 128 roles throughout the subsequent thirty years, with her most notable performance coming as Mimi Marquez in the musical drama Rent. Fans of the Askewniverse will recognize Dawson as Becky, the love of Dante’s life in the Clerks movie. Star Wars fans will recognize her as the live-action Ahsoka Tano, the powerful rebel Togruta Jedi who starred in The Mandalorian and is receiving her spin-off series. Dawson will be known as Becky in the Askewniverse. Her character, Gabbie, is a single mother who is already juggling many responsibilities when she and her son Travis move into a new stately home, only to discover that the Mansion is haunted.
Jamie Lee Curtis as Madame Leota
In this production, Jamie Lee Curtis plays the part of Madame Leota. Curtis is a notable actress widely recognized for her portrayal as the iconic last girl Laurie Strode in the Halloween film franchise, which she has played over several decades. In the film Halloween Ends, which was released in 2022, Curtis gave her final performance as Laurie. In addition to her work in the horror genre, Curtis was most recently seen in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once, an innovative and mind-bending film for which she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Madame Leota is an original character in the attraction at Disneyland and has appeared in a number of different guises over the years. Madame Leota Vardo was a clairvoyant palm reader and potion brewer originally from Salem, Massachusetts. This is according to the history surrounding an attraction at Disneyland. She is supposed to have been accidentally responsible for the Salem Witch Trials, and as a result, she fled the state when they occurred. It is thought that Madame Leota passed away sometime in the 1600s when she started haunting the Séance Room of the Mansion. She would appear as a head without a body inside a glass orb and recite incantations while a puff of blue smoke surrounded her.
Owen Wilson as Father Kent
Father Kent, a peculiarly laid-back priest tasked with exorcising the ghosts from the Mansion, is one of the individuals Gabbie has recruited to assist her in removing the ghosts from her house. Owen Wilson, who plays Kent, adds his signature easygoing and comic demeanor to the role. Fans will undoubtedly be curious to find out if the actor’s signature “wow” appears in the movie, and the answer is that it most likely does. In addition to that signature line, Wilson is well-known for his performances in hysterically funny movies like Wedding Crashers and Zoolander. He is also well-known for his role as a recurring cast member in many films directed by Wes Anderson, such as The Royal Tenenbaums and Bottle Rocket.
Danny DeVito as Bruce, College History Professor

He is best known for being The Penguin in the 1992 film Batman Returns. However, in 2006, DeVito transitioned from producer to actor on the long-running comedy It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where he is known for developing the character of Frank Reynolds, who is beloved despite his severely immoral behavior.
Tiffany Haddish as Harriet
Harriet is a psychic who was brought in to assist in communicating with the ghosts who reside within the walls of the Mansion. Unfortunately for her, she may have been cursed. Tiffany Haddish, an actress and stand-up comedian, plays the part. Haddish is well known for her performance as Dina in the movie Girls Trip (2017), where she made her film debut. Haddish has had a fruitful career since appearing in the absurd comedy. She has expanded into voice acting and has had roles in projects that are not funny, such as the short film Run, which was released in 2022. Haddish has been a featured cast member in the mystery anthology The Afterparty, which debuted on Apple TV+ in 2022.
LaKeith Stanfield as Ben Matthias
Ben Matthias was an engineer who worked on a camera to catch photographs of paranormal phenomena. He was known for his work on the camera. Unfortunately, Ben’s cherished wife passed away, and after she was gone, the engineer’s life completely disintegrated as a result. Despite the fact that Ben no longer believes in the existence of ghosts, he is currently employed in New Orleans as a ghost tour guide. His time spent in the Mansion may revive his belief in the supernatural. The character of the brokenhearted tour guide is played by Sorry to Bother You actor LaKeith Stanfield. Stanfield is best recognized for his major part as Cassius Green in the surreal telemarketing thriller. He is also well-known for his roles as Lieutenant Elliott in Knives Out and Darius in Donald Glover’s Atlanta.
Jared Leto as The Hatbox Ghost / Alastair Crump
The Hatbox Ghost, a ghoul who was removed from the original attraction within weeks of its opening due to concerns with its lighting, has a new lease on life in the film. He is another alumnus of the original ride that has been given new life in the movie. The Mad Hatter made his comeback in 2015, and by that time, his signature trick—in which his head vanishes from his shoulders and reappears in his hatbox—was finally able to be performed. According to the legends surrounding Disney, the Hatbox Ghost is connected to the axe murderer Constance Hatchaway, who should have beheaded affluent men after marrying them to obtain their wealth. Those who have read the tale are interested in learning more about the hattershatter’s history and the circumstances surrounding his death in Haunted Mansion. In his acting career, Jared Leto has portrayed many off-kilter characters. As a result, he was born to play the part of this terrible con artist. Among the most well-known of Leto’s early roles are those of Jordan Catalano in the teen drama My So-Called Life from the 1990s and Harry Goldfarb in Requiem for a Dream. Leto played both of these roles. In recent years, he has gravitated toward playing roles in grittier and more bizarre films, such as Niander Wallace in Blade Runner 2049 and Dr. Michael Morbius in Morbius, released in 2022.
