United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has called for increased funding and investment from the public and private sectors to meet growing demands in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
Guterres, in his speech at today’s UN event to discuss the Sustainable Development Goals, pointed out that the education of children, the eradication of unemployment, universal health care, meaningful action to combat climate change and the protection of biodiversity cannot be put off until tomorrow.
He stressed that the dangers the world is facing are incompatible with the one world we aspire to and called on world leaders to put the world back on track.
