Green women’s football has achieved the first titles after winning the International Friendly Championship Cup, which ended on Thursday in the Eastern Province. The tournament was held with the participation of Pakistan, Mauritius, Comoros and our team.
Banat Al Akhdar finished the final match of the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Pakistan and led the Women’s International Friendly Tournament with 7 points.
During his career, Al-Akhdar beat Mauritius 1-0 with Maryam Al-Tamimi from the penalty spot and beat Comoros 2-0 thanks to Noura Ibrahim and Dahlia Adel.
Pakistan finished second in the rankings with 4 points, followed by Comoros and Mauritius with 3 points respectively.
Sarah Khaled was named the best goalkeeper of the tournament, conceding just one goal.
Pakistani Maria Jamila Khan won the award as the best player, while Comor player Unalaya Ali became the tournament’s top scorer.
This was the first time the Kingdom had hosted an international women’s tournament, with all matches played at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in the Eastern Province.
