Good Omens Season 2: A Heavenly Journey Continues
Good Omens will take you on another heavenly journey, so get ready! Aziraphale, played by Michael Sheen, is a meticulous angel and rare-book merchant. Crowley, played by David Tennant, is a demon who doesn’t care about anything. Season 2 goes deeper into the charming camaraderie between the two characters.
Aziraphale: The Angel with a Strange Life
Michael Sheen plays Aziraphale, an angel who resides on Earth and serves as an envoy between Heaven and Earth. In the first season, he ultimately decides to work with the demon Crowley to stop the Apocalypse and prevent the coming of the Antichrist. In Season 2, the appearance of the Archangel Gabriel in Aziraphale’s rare book shop kicks off an intriguing mystery. It makes Aziraphale’s life much stranger than it always was.
Crowley: The Devilish Counterpart
David Tennant plays Crowley, a demon who acts as Hell’s emissary, now resident on Earth. Crowley is essentially Aziraphale’s counterpart on the other side of the veil. Because he was the serpent that tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden, he has been a resident of this planet ever since it was created. However, because Crowley is an innovative thinker who does not always get along with management, he is no longer welcome in Hell due to the events that transpired in Season 1.
Gabriel: The Archangel with Amnesia
Jon Hamm portrays Gabriel, Aziraphale’s boss and the overseer of all heavenly powers from Heaven. This archangel always appears to be dressed nicely and is firm in his beliefs. In Season 2, Gabriel inexplicably lands on Earth without his memory, serving as both the primary mystery of the season and the source of a lot of comedic relief.
