The World Health Organization announced the registration of 92 confirmed cases of a rare virus (monkeypox) and 28 suspected cases in 12 countries that are not considered the birthplace of the disease.
The organization said in a statement that confirmed cases and suspected cases were being tracked in 9 European countries, the United States, Canada and Australia, noting that the disease is in the process of spreading.

The organization described the symptoms of the disease as a skin rash, fever up to 38.5 degrees Celsius, headache, swollen lymph nodes, back pain and weakness.
The organization called for awareness and dissemination of accurate information about the disease among the most vulnerable groups in order to stop further spread.
The World Health Organization has confirmed that it is receiving updates on this new outbreak through the Integrated Disease Control Facility in endemic countries.

Israel has recorded the first case of monkeypox in the Middle East in a symptomatic man who traveled from Western Europe.
And Israeli media reported that the Ministry of Health would hold an emergency meeting after the first case of monkeypox was recorded in the country.
