Scream Factory Announces 4K Remaster of Night of the Demons
Scream Factory is unrivaled in producing quality horror content for traditional media formats. The independent studio has been hard at work over the past few years remastering some of the most beloved classic horror films into 4K resolution. Tenet’s Night of the Demons, directed by Kevin S. Tenet and produced in the 1980s, will be remastered and released on 4K in the fall by Scream Factory. However, these devils have friends coming along for this frightful Halloween party since its sequels, Night of the Devils 2 and Night of the Demons 3, are also being published on Blu-ray. Night of the Demons 2 and 3 may be purchased through Amazon.com and other online retailers.
Purchasing Options for Night of the Demons Trilogy
Four distinct avenues exist to acquire a copy of the Night of the Demons trilogy. To begin, you have the option of purchasing each one separately. Night of the Demons may be purchased in 4K for $36.99, while each successor can be purchased for $31.98. With this purchase, you will receive the standard Collector’s Edition 4K or Blu-ray, a slipcover, and a poster featuring the original artwork from the theatrical releases of the first two films. The third movie has a Blu-ray included in the package, but there needs to be a sleeve or poster included. The following choice costs $105.99 and comes with all of the movies in their respective formats, as well as six slipcovers, twelve posters (two for each movie), and a prism sticker. The third choice, which costs $165.99, includes everything in the previous two options and an enamel pin set. On the other hand, if you are a fan of Night of the Demons, Scream Factory has covered you with the most terrifying bundle possible. You will get everything described before, plus six more lobby cards for $199.99.
Although Scream Factory has in the past made available on Blu-ray the original version of Night of the Demons, this is the first time the label has made any of its successors available on Blu-ray. The special features that will be included in the release have yet to be announced, but at the very least, the first film will have all of the extras included in the previous Blu-ray edition produced by Scream Factory. Along with Pumpkinhead and The Blob, the Night of the Demons trilogy is a part of the extensive October Halloween lineup that Scream Factory is releasing this year.
The Unique Appeal of Night of the Demons Trilogy
The spooky atmosphere of Night of the Demons, which takes place around Halloween, is largely responsible for the film’s cult status. The brilliance of Demons lies in its place in such an unusual location, much like other classics from the 1980s, such as Slumber Party Massacre and My Bloody Valentine, centered on parties that go wrong. This movie takes advantage of the fact that the morgue is such a great venue for a supernatural adventure by setting a lot of its action there, including séances and demonic possession. In addition, both of the 1990s sequels would follow in the original’s footsteps in terms of having comparable settings and macabre entertainment, which is something that most other horror franchises cannot offer. Along with other holiday staples like Halloween, Trick or Treat, and Terrifier, you should put these on your watchlist for October.
When Will The Night of Demons’ Blu-rays be Released?
On October 3, 2023, Night of the Demons will be available on 4K, while Night of the Demons 2 and 3 will be released on Blu-ray at the same time. On the website of Scream Factory, you can now pre-order any of the films individually or as part of a single monstrously comprehensive collection. Peacock and Tubi both offer free streaming of Night of the Demons, which you can watch online.
