German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach said that not only did he have to live with death threats, but that he was also concerned about the safety of his family.
Lauterbach said in a statement to the Kolner Stadt-Anzeiger newspaper released today, Tuesday: “I am still threatened and I receive terrible threats to kill my children… I have to park my car away from home and unfortunately I don’t can go outside in the evening without bodyguards.”
Lauterbach lives in the center of Cologne and has long been receiving hateful comments, mostly directed against his anti-coronavirus policies.
