Our team got into Group D along with Japan, South Korea and Vietnam, where 16 teams compete in the continental championship, divided into 4 groups. Japan advanced with a goal from Cribaldi Vinicius in the third minute before Al-Akhdar countered with two goals from Nasser Al-Harty (11) and Mohsen Faqihi (15).
And the Japanese team imposed their control from the start to open the scoring in the third minute thanks to Cribaldi Vinicius, who received the ball in the center of the field and moved forward before shooting from the left into the net.
Al-Akhdar managed to regain his balance and gradually improve his game before equalizing in the 11th minute thanks to Nasser Al-Harty, who hit the ceiling after a Japanese defender’s counter-attack.
Our team then pulled out a second goal in the 15th minute when goalkeeper Hammoud Al Dahan sent a smart through pass to unattended Mohsen Faqihi and hit the net (15).
