The French judiciary is examining photographs and video clips showing abuses attributed to the Syrian regime in the Tadamon area of Damascus in 2013 that were sent to it by the French Foreign Ministry, according to what the National Anti-Terrorist Prosecution confirmed.
And the French Foreign Ministry said at a press conference that it had received a large number of documents about possible crimes that could be committed by the forces of the Syrian regime.
She explained that these documents, including a large number of photographs and video clips, show the atrocities committed by loyalist forces during the 2013 massacre in the Al-Tadamon area of Damascus.
During these attacks, dozens of civilians were killed.
The ministry indicated that the alleged facts could constitute the most serious international crimes, especially crimes against humanity and war crimes, over which the French judiciary has universal jurisdiction.
The documents were sent to the National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor’s Office, which announced that it was reviewing them to determine whether they “relevant to ongoing investigations or require a separate investigation.”
