The Creative 2.0 mode of Fortnite gave players a chance to take full control of the game and create breathtaking maps using the Unreal Editor. Regrettably, some of these works have yet to escape the attention of other publishers, and they have chosen to publish them. Activision, one of these publishers, has started the DMCA process and is asking for the removal of any content that could be related to the Call of Duty video game series.
Activision has indicated that creating anything connected to Call of Duty directly violates policies, which means that the makers of such content risk having their accounts banned. Activision could still take action to enforce those regulations even if the authors of Fortnite maps had no plans to publish them, regardless of whether or not they meant to do so. At this time, the Call of Duty-related maps that have been uploaded to Creative 2.0 is being removed one by one.
Reactions from the community have been mixed, with some gamers finding Activision’s decision to DMCA content from Call of Duty games featured in Fortnite absurd. On the other hand, some know that content of this nature violates company policies. Jake Lucky, a well-known streamer, hinted in a tweet that producers had previously been warned about breaching content standards. Jake said that the decision “makes full sense” and that creators had been warned in the past.

The fact that players can no longer enter zombie maps has caused them great sadness despite some of their understanding. Even though it gives players more freedom, the Creative 2.0 mode in Fortnite appears to violate several of the game’s rules. It is quite likely that Activision’s DMCA takedown of Fortnite content based on Call of Duty was not an isolated move made by just one publisher. As a result, players are understandably concerned that their creations based on other games could be targeted next.
Regardless of whether or not players can access Modern Fortware, Fortnite’s massive creative community will continue to thrive in the game. Suppose you are interested in checking out other positive gaming news rather than Activision’s choice to file a DMCA complaint. In that case, it is home to various other stuff.
