His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the Arab Contact Group Ministerial Meeting on Developments in the Republic of the Sudan today in Jeddah with the participation of the Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shukri and the Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abul Gate. The meeting reviewed the most important content of the Jeddah Declaration, including the commitment to protect civilians in Sudan, and His Highness reaffirmed that every effort will be made to strengthen this agreement and called on the parties to the conflict to seriously engage in a dialogue process that helps to reduce the suffering of the brotherly Sudanese people and ensure the security and territorial integrity of their lands.
The meeting also discussed the further efforts of the Arab Contact Group at the ministerial level for its efforts and good offices to all Sudanese parties to prevail over the voice of wisdom and uphold the supreme interests of Sudan, and to find solutions that meet the aspirations and aspirations of the Sudanese people for security , stability and development.
In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs met in Jeddah with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic, Dr. Faisal Al-Mikdad, and during the meeting they discussed the latest developments in the Syrian arena and in the region. and exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs also met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Burita.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in order to achieve the interests of the two countries and two fraternal peoples, and also discussed regional and international events of mutual interest and the efforts being made in this regard.
His Highness also met with the Libyan Foreign Minister Nagla Al-Mangush. During the meeting, ways to strengthen fraternal relations between the two countries and two fraternal peoples in all areas of joint cooperation were considered, the parties also exchanged views on the agenda of the preparatory ministerial meeting.
At the Arab-Arab meetings in Jeddah, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri discussed separately with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Iraqi Foreign Minister Dr. Fuad Muhammad Hussein bilateral cooperation and ways to promote joint action under the trilateral cooperation mechanism between Egypt, Jordan and Iraq.
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Salem Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met with Lebanese Foreign Minister Abdullah Bouhabib to discuss bilateral relations linking the two countries and current developments in the Lebanese arena, as well as to review the themes and issues raised at the ministerial meeting . Sheikh Salem also met with Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussain and they discussed current developments in the Iraqi arena and issues of mutual interest.
Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met with his Algerian counterparts Ahmed Ataf, Lebanese Abdullah Bouhabib, Moroccan Nasser Burita, Bahraini Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Omani Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Tunisian Nabil Ammar.
The meetings, which were held separately, dealt with bilateral relations, Arab issues and ways to intensify joint Arab action.
