At one time, the Kingdom announced that e-visas would be allowed for holders of the Haya card, for fans of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar later this year from November 20 to December 18.
According to the Al Bayan newspaper, the UAE has announced a welcome program for ‘Haya’ cardholders, accepting visitors to the event and allowing them to enter the UAE.
The Federal Authority for Identification, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security explained that the program includes the issuance of a visa to enter and reside in the UAE for a total period of up to 90 days from the date of issuance of this visa, while its fees are reduced to 100 dirhams only for the entire period and paid once.
Authorities have also indicated that Haya cardholders can enter the country by applying for this visa starting November 1, 2022, as it allows entry and exit from the UAE multiple times during its validity period.
The authorities explained that visa recipients may extend the period up to an additional /90/ days after payment of fees due in accordance with the conditions and controls established by the Federal Authority for Identification, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, while citizens of countries exempted from visas to enter the UAE are excluded from the screening control where they can enter and reside in the UAE in accordance with the current procedures.
The authorities have sought to develop an easy and affordable visa mechanism for holders of the “Haya” card to participate in the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. from the list of public services, and then fill in the application data with basic data in addition to the Haya card data, attach the required documents and pay the fees. The application can also be submitted from outside the country.
The visa is issued for several visits to the country for a period of 90 days from the date of issue and can be extended for another 90 days in accordance with the usual checks and fees.
