Argentina’s Ministry of Health confirmed the first two cases of monkeypox on Friday.
The ministry said the results of the tests in this case were positive, adding that the patient’s health condition is good, and the people who have been in contact with him are under clinical and epidemiological control as long as they do not show symptoms. The ministry later reported another injury to a Spanish citizen who arrived in Argentina on Wednesday.
Outbreaks have been reported in about 20 countries with more than 200 confirmed or suspected cases, most of them in Europe.
