Fiji Islands Hit by Magnitude 5.5 Earthquake in the South Pacific

A magnitude 5.5 earthquake hit the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific today. The USGS said the quake’s epicenter was 262 kilometers east of Levuk and at a depth of 4,668 kilometers.

There were no reports of property or human damage from the earthquake.
