He reaffirmed the team’s desire to call on OCHA to increase country funds for activism, commending the efforts of the Emergency Relief Coordinator to allocate 10% of the budget of the Central Emergency Response Fund to activism, applauding OCHA’s efforts to reform the humanitarian programming cycle and make humanitarian work more focused .
Following this, OCHA officials presented an overview of their proactive efforts and projects currently underway in a number of countries, including South Sudan and Pacific countries, as well as the most important lessons learned and assessments based on these experiences for dissemination to other countries. .
The OCHA team presented a report on their efforts to reform the humanitarian programming cycle in a number of countries and their work to overcome the challenges faced by the humanitarian response community.
