Two people were killed and another went missing when a tanker caught fire in a port on the island of Lombok in Indonesia. Two of the ship’s 17 crew members died by jumping into the sea during the evacuation, and another person is still missing.
Police launched an investigation to determine the cause of the fire on the MT Christine tanker, owned by Pertamina Energy, as it was preparing to dock on Sunday.
The incident adds pressure to the company, which has faced anger over a fire that broke out weeks ago at its fuel depot that killed 33 people, including children.
