Artist Ibrahim Al-Hajjaj showed his great affection for the hobby of falconry after he delved into its details and learned its secrets during the presentation of the program “Falcons with Ibrahim Al-Hajjaj”, which is broadcast jointly with Saudi Arabia. International Falcon and Hunting Exhibition between (August 25 – September 3, 2022) at Falcons Club Saudi Headquarters inspiring north of Riyadh.
He said: “My relationship with falcons began as a child watching one of my falconer relatives as I was curious about the hobby to closely follow his method of rearing them and identify the tools needed to train a falcon to adapt to its owner’s environment, and how to make it return to its owner after flying through some special signs and sounds, and teach it to accept the wearing of a headdress known as a veil, which makes it keep calm and not tense or embarrassed due to the surrounding atmosphere, learning how the environment in which the falcon lives is kept clean and ideal in order to keep it healthy from the risk of disease.
He added: “In the Kingdom, we are proud of everything that represents our popular heritage and authentic Arab culture. Therefore, the Saudi International Falcon and Hunting Exhibition is considered a window documenting time periods in the history of the Arabian Peninsula, and the relationship of man with the falcon and how they coexist with each other as partners in life.”
He continued, “During the current period, I have begun to discover many things related to falcon farming through my experience of presenting the Falcons with Ibrahim Al-Hajjaj program for the Saudi Falconing Club in conjunction with the Saudi International Falcon and Hunting Exhibition. However, my enthusiasm for learning the details of angles and wings makes me forget that I’m on a photographic mission.”
The pilgrims praised the exhibition’s high attendance and said, “Everyone has seen the exhibition grow into an important tourist destination for visitors from within and outside the kingdom, which is to be credited to the Saudi Falcon Club who developed the model scheme. for the programs, events, corners and sections of the annual exhibition, to preserve the heritage and spread it among new generations, as well as to attract young people, invest their energy and provide them with jobs and opportunities, promote the opening of new investment horizons through the various pavilions and sections of the exhibition, including: local market, car modification department, hunting and camping products, to become an important economic source for them to help spread their brand and increase sales.”
