Faezeh Rafsanjani, a member of the Central Council of the reformist Construction Cadres Party, lashed out at the conservative movement in Iran in a special broadcast with her by two media workers, two members of Al-Ahmari on Al-Madar on Al-Sharq Channel.
The daughter of ex-president Hashemi Rafsanjani, who led reforms related to openness to neighboring countries and the West, believed that women in Iran were deprived of many rights under the pretext of religion, and Sharia did not approve of such discrimination, as she put it.
At the meeting, Rafsanjani said that some conservatives in Iran do not want a nuclear deal with the West, and that some of them put forward slogans against the US and European countries, while the children of these conservatives study in Western universities.
Rafsanjani reports for the first time that her father raised the issue of ending the Iran-Iraq war against Khomeini, but the latter refused, worked to open up Saudi Arabia and was in favor of restoring relations with the United States of America. and that he did not object to any relationship with any country other than Israel.
Rafsanjani has ruled out a nuclear deal in the era of President Joe Biden, saying the Iranian and American sides are waiting for the results of the US midterm elections.
Rafsanjani, who was on trial for supporting reformist Mir Hossein Mousavi before her arrest in 2012, urged Iran to open up to the world because few Iranians don’t want that kind of openness.
