The Plot of Krapopolis
Krapopolis is an animated comedy in a fictional version of Ancient Greece. It was created by Dan Harmon, who is now working on the movie adaptation of Community. The show centers on a dysfunctional family of humans, gods, and monsters that strives to rule one of the world’s earliest towns without murdering each other.
The summary of the show provides additional insight into the premise of the show without providing an excessive amount of detail, as it states:
It’s not easy being king. King Tyrannis has a more difficult task than most others because he attempts to create one of the first towns from scratch. However, it is possible to hold the position of king without being required to attend many meetings or being subject to the ongoing risk of being poisoned.
Hercules will always come to mind for a viewer whenever the topic of Ancient Greece is brought up in a television program. Despite this, Krapopolis will be a very different series from the heroic connotations that the title suggests. Similarly, the program is a world apart from the Disney animated picture, seeing as Krapopolis is a cartoon comedy aimed specifically at older audiences. Fans can therefore anticipate both humorous and adult-oriented plotlines in their favorite shows.
