The German government has taken an exceptional decision regarding the dates for the matches of the World Cup final, which will be hosted by the State of Qatar from 20 November to 18 December 2022.
The Federal Council, which is the legislative body representing Germany’s sixteen states, the “Bundesrat”, agreed yesterday, Friday, to allow German mass gatherings to watch the World Cup matches in Qatar, which are played late every day.
Generally, do not disturb rules, meaning meetings continue after 10:00 pm local time.
But the Bundesrat agreed to a temporary change in the rules, because most of the matches that will be held as part of the World Cup in Qatar will end late for Germany.
Germany will play in Group E at the 2022 World Cup along with Costa Rica, Spain and Japan.
The German national team is aiming to win the title for the fifth time in its history, equal the record of the Brazilian team, and also dust off the early exit from the group stage of the Russia-2018 World Cup.
