The English Premier League has agreed to transfer Chelsea football club to American businessman Todd Bowley.
Chelsea decided to put the club’s shares up for sale following the crisis of Russian owner Roman Abramovich, as the British government imposed heavy sanctions on him in light of his relationship with President Vladimir Putin and the invasion of Ukraine.
American businessman Todd Boley has made a lucrative £4.25bn bid for Chelsea, an offer that got the green light from English Premier League officials today.
The Premier League released an official statement saying: “The Premier League Board of Directors today approved the proposal for the acquisition of Chelsea Football Club by the Todd Boley Association.
