An earthquake measuring 4 on the Richter scale hit the city of Faryab in the province of Kerman in southeastern Iran. The Earthquake Monitoring Center of the Institute of Geophysics of the University of Tehran said today that the shock occurred at a depth of 28 kilometers underground.
There have been no reports of possible damage from the impact so far.
The city of Faryab is one of the cities of the province of Kerman, located at a distance of 330 km south of the center of the province.
Yesterday, a magnitude 5 earthquake struck the city of Parsian in the province of Hormozgan in southern Iran, with no casualties or material losses reported.
