Former U.S. President Donald Trump won the most votes in the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and received the Republican nomination card for the 2024 presidential election Washington, Maryland.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis came in second with 20% of the vote, according to Fox News.
And Republican candidate Perry Johnson, a businessman who tried to run for governor of Michigan but was not allowed to run in the Republican primaries, came in third with 5% support.
While Carrie Lake, the 2022 Republican nominee for governor of Arizona, received the most support for running for vice president with 20%, De Santis received 14% of vice presidential support.
According to the organizers, more than 2,000 participants voted at the conference.
Last year, Trump handily won votes at major CPAC meetings in Orlando, Florida, Dallas and Texas.
Despite leaving the White House for more than two years, Trump received 69% of the vote cast in an online poll last August in Dallas and 59% in Orlando last February.
