The Saudi Arabian Football Association’s Discipline and Ethics Committee issued disciplinary decisions against the Okaz women’s football club after two unqualified players with unofficial cards were involved in a match against Najma Jeddah in a first-class women’s league. competition for the 2022-2023 sports season, where there was an acceptance of the protest of the Jeddah Star team from a formal and objective point of view. The Committee confirmed that it was proven that Okaz Club violated Article (40-1-4) of the Discipline and the Rules of Ethics of the Women’s Football League, annulment of the result of the match and recognition of the Okaz Club team as a loser with a score (3-0), as well as the suspension of One of the administrators of the Okaz Club for a period of 14 days in total official matches in which it has the right to participate, and obliging the club to pay a fine of four thousand riyals of the Saudi Football Association, and redrawing the protest for the Jeddah Star team.
The Committee added that it was proven that the Chairman of the Okaz Club Board of Directors violated article (75-1) of the Disciplinary and Ethical Regulations by banning him from participating in any activity related to football for two years. and obliging him to pay a fine of 200,000 rials to the account of the Saudi Arabia Football Association, in addition to proving that the Okaz club violated article (75-3) of the Disciplinary and Ethical Regulations by excluding him from participation in the first division women’s league for the 2022-2023 sports season, preventing it from registering female players for one registration period at the earliest registration period for the 2023-2024 sports season, and requiring it to pay a fine of 100,000 rials to the Saudi Football Association.
The Committee indicated that the decision was subject to appeal in accordance with article (139) of the Disciplinary and Ethical Regulations.
