Israeli settlers violently attacked the city of Hawara in the northern West Bank and set fire to cars and houses in retaliation for the killing of two settlers by a Palestinian. According to eyewitnesses, about 400 Israeli settlers attacked the site. The Palestinian Health Ministry said Israeli bullets had killed a 37-year-old man. PRCS medical services reported that two more people were shot, a third was stabbed, and a fourth was beaten with an iron bar. About 95 people received treatment for tear gas poisoning.
