The Kingdom attended the nineteenth session of the World Meteorological Conference (Cg-19) of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), which began yesterday, in the presence of Ambassador Abdul Mohsen, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom to the United Nations. bin Hatil, and its meetings will last until June 2 next year.
On the sidelines of the meetings, the Kingdom hosted an introductory exhibition of the Kingdom’s regional initiatives implemented by the National Center for Meteorology through the Regional Center for Climate Change, the Regional Center for Dust and Sand Storm Warning and the Regional Center for Cloud Seeding Program, while the Kingdom reviewed its pioneering experiences, technical and technical capabilities, as well as their human capabilities in the field of meteorology.
In addition, Dr. Ayman Ghulam, Director General of the National Center for Meteorology, on the sidelines of the meetings of the nineteenth session of the conference, discussed bilateral discussions with a number of representatives of the delegations of the countries participating in the conference, with the aim of strengthening cooperation in the field of weather and climate and presenting regional initiatives of the Kingdom.
