Yesterday, China launched 16 satellites into space from the Taiwan Satellite Launch Center in northern Shanxi province.
The new batch of satellites is being used in areas such as commercial remote sensing and aerial photography.
The satellites, including Jilin-1 Gaofen 03D09 and Yunyao-1 04-08, were launched aboard the Long March 6 carrier rocket at 12:50 Beijing time, successfully entering their planned orbit.
The launch is the 432nd mission in the Long March series of launch vehicles.
