Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council Muhammad Al-Manfi and his two deputies Musa Al-Koni and Abdullah Al-Lafi met today with United Nations Secretary-General’s Envoy Risdon Zeninga, Secretary-General’s Adviser in Libya Stephanie Williams and a number of members of the mission.
The press service of the Chairman of the Council stated that the meeting considered the efforts of the Presidential Council and international efforts with various political parties in order to discuss various options for the success of the political process, maintaining stability in the country and discussing ways to preserve the achievements of the Joint Military Committee in the 5 + 5 format and continue his work with all its members.
The Presidential Council once again called on all participants in the political process to give priority to the interests of the country, believing that consensus is the key to achieving a final solution to the Libyan crisis, achieving peace and national reconciliation and restoring the state on the basis of security, justice and law.
